REGISTRATION and the Coat Room are on the 27th Floor along with many of the sessions. The Children’s Program, Lunch Room, Limmud Café and rooms E1, G3 and G4 are on the 16th Floor. There is easy access between the floors by 6 large elevators.

We will examine the late 19th and early 20th century working conditions of newly arrived East European Jews in New York's Lower East Side in the nascent and oppressive clothing manufacturing industry that laid the foundation for the rise of Jews in New York clothing retail and fashion designers like Lane Bryant, Hattie Carnegie, Ralph Lauren, Stan Herman, Donna Karan and Isaac Mizrahi.
