REGISTRATION and the Coat Room are on the 27th Floor along with many of the sessions. The Children’s Program, Lunch Room, Limmud Café and rooms E1, G3 and G4 are on the 16th Floor. There is easy access between the floors by 6 large elevators.

In 2010 Laya Crust learned the ancient skill of writing "Sofer STAM". Joining centuries of male scribes Laya could now write Hebrew text for a megillah suitable to be read in an orthodox synagogue. In 2011 she completed scribing The Scroll of Esther and illustrated it with 32 ornate images. In this presentation Laya will take you through her process of executing this unique project. You will go from the streets of Mea She'arim to buy specially mixed inks to history books tracing Persian art. You will gain insight to the story of Esther and the deeds of Amalek, Haman, and more recent despots.
