In 1946, the Pro-Zionist "American League for a Free Palestine" produced Ben Hecht's "A Flag Is Born." The play starred actors Paul Muni, Stella Adler and a young Marlon Brando, and galvanized American support for the establishment of the State of Israel. The reading of selected scenes, sharing of multi-media resources and conversation will enhance our appreciation for this important American-Jewish drama.
